Why Musicality Central?

Whether you’ve always wanted to dance or have danced your whole life, we have a class, workshop, or session for you to get excited about. Here you will gain the confidence you’ve always wanted when learning dance and have a “safe space” for you to simply let go and be yourself.

Hi! We’re Susie and Rishone from Musicality Central

Two Buffalo based dancers who know that ANYONE can learn Hip Hop in the right atmosphere.

Where should You start?

- I have never danced before but I want to start -

This is our first level of hip hop choreography training. This class is designed for beginners or experienced dancers of other genres to learn the foundations of hip hop technique and choreography concepts. In each class the instructor creates 4 eight counts so the students can dissect the technique at a slower pace and learn how to execute the movement in a routine.

This is our hip hop workout class dedicated to fitness training. It is a combination of energetic hip hop music and hip hop dance moves that allows you to actually enjoy an hour of exercise related to past/current hip hop music. This class is co-taught between Susie and Rishone.

If you’ve ever felt intimidated by the thought of stepping into a dance class, this is the beginner class you have been waiting for. This is a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE, and it will go at a pace you will feel comfortable with and walk out feeling confident and accomplished.

You no longer have to spend 20 minutes watching 45 second dance videos on Instagram or YouTube wishing that you knew how to do half the moves that captivated you. You can use that inspiration from these amazing dancers you watch to join us in this 6 week session designed to give you some cheat codes to help you learn the art form you have formed a visual relationship with. Then you can feel even more connected to the dancers you have become so familiar with through your new found knowledge of your own movement.

This is a 4 week session designed to help you organize the visual information you receive while in the process of taking class. It will teach you how to be more efficient in learning choreography and applying it immediately without speed bumps. This session is for all levels. Whether you already know how to dance or not, these are the skills you will need to have in order to learn the flow of choreography in class.

- I danced when I was younger and want to get back into it -

Intermediate Hip Hop is the second level in our Choreography training. This class is designed for those who are more experienced in combining hip hop technique and choreography concepts. The instructor creates 6-8 eight counts of choreography and teaches it at the intermediate pace. Routines generally extend to a 2 week period.

We offer monthly workshops in various styles including Hip Hop, Dancehall, Dancehall Fusion, and Burlesque Infused Hip Hop. These workshops are for you if you have prior dance experience and are looking for a challenge!

Featured Workshops and News

Mark your calendars ladies! We’ll be bringing sexy back at the end of March with another Burlesque Infused Hip Hop Workshop. The song is a surprise for now, but in true Susie K fashion, you already know it’s about to get realllll sexy. One hint on the song: It is a bit of a throwback. But all you really need to know is that we’ve got mad body rolls and moments for you to be straight up fierce on deck. So just be ready.

Join us March 29th, 7:00-8:30pm @ Dance Like a Star

We’ve all been there – walking into a dance class for the first time with those uneasy feelings. You’re not sure what to expect. “Is it going to be hard? Am I going to be able to keep up? I’ve never danced before and everyone else is going to be better than me….” You may be having this conversation with yourself.

What Our Clients say

Susie and Rishone are some of the best and most talented people you could ever meet. They also attract awesome people to their classes. I always leave on such a high and in such a good headspace. Treat yourself to such good vibes and dancing with these class act people!

Vilona Trachtenberg

Rishone and Susie are both incredibly talented, but what sets them apart from most artists is their ability to teach! These two are connected to the music, which makes for an amazing experience. I highly recommend taking any one of their classes- it'll be good for your soul, trust me.

Lisa Bavisotto

Susie & Rishone consistently strive to be better teachers and show a sincere interest in their clients progress. They are always willing to lend their support and guidance to those who need it, and are consistent in their positive attitudes. Their classes are organized in a thoughtful way, and alway incorporate new ideas and approaches. They continuously strive to improve themselves AND their clients through living by example. They talk the talk and walk the walk. Highly recommend!

Being new to the area, I didn’t know anyone but decided to attend dance class with Musicality Central. Everyone was so welcoming and it felt like “dance home” instantly. Not only are Susie and Rishone talented dancers but they’re life motivators, challenging their students every class. Thank you both for creating an open, comfortable and family-like environment.
