Hi! We’re Susie and Rishone from Musicality Central

Two Buffalo based dancers who know that ANYONE can learn Hip Hop in the right atmosphere.

Where should You start?

- I have never danced before but I want to start -

We could not be more excited to bring you a BRAND NEW Choreography class that is absolutely for beginners. We know how it feels to want to dance so badly but feel like you can’t keep up in a choreography class.

So we have created Hip Hop Choreo 101 – A class where you learn BEGINNER Choreography at a BEGINNER’S pace. This is our first level of hip hop choreography training. So if you have ever taken our Hip Hop 4 Starters class and felt the pace may have been too fast or you have been intimidated at the thought of taking your first ever Hip Hop choreography class, THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!

Choreo 101

This is our hip hop workout class dedicated to fitness training. It is a combination of energetic hip hop music and hip hop dance moves that allows you to actually enjoy an hour of exercise related to past/current hip hop music. This class is co-taught between Susie and Rishone.

- I danced when I was younger and want to get back into it -

This class is geared towards new movers who want to learn the fundamentals of hip hop. It is also a great class for experienced hip hop dancers who want to hone in and perfect their hip hop technique. We start out with stretching, a warm up, then we dive into some choreography. Rishone takes time to dissect the movement on a granular level for the students, meaning no dance experience is required for this class. Come as you are and we’ll teach you how to move! Perfect for beginners of dancers who want to spruce up their Hip Hop Technique.

Intermediate Hip Hop is the second level in our Choreography training. This class is designed for those who are more experienced in combining hip hop technique and choreography concepts. The instructor creates 6-8 eight counts of choreography and teaches it at the intermediate pace. Routines generally extend to a 2 week period.

We offer monthly workshops in various styles including Hip Hop, Dancehall, Dancehall Fusion, and Burlesque Infused Hip Hop. These workshops are for you if you have prior dance experience and are looking for a challenge!

- I want a fun way to be active and workout-

Featured Workshops and News

We are closing out 2019 with a 'Question' and an Answer that includes nothing but good Vibez.

About a year and a half ago Rishone created a Dancehall Routine with some of the strongest energy he has ever experienced in a Workshop.

So he decided to bring it back for another round. Cause Why Not? Questions by Chris Brown is sample of Kevin Little's Song Turn Me On lyrics and vibe that brings a new appreciation for a classic.

The choreography is energetically filled with some feel good Dancehall grooves, dime stops and lyrical musicality.

This past October makes it 5 years and almost 2 months since I left my career as a Validation Engineer to pursue my passions of the culinary arts and dance. As I reflect now, December made it more of a reality that I no longer had a job with a decent pay check coming in 2 weeks. The thought of this at that time almost drove me insane. I was scared and scrambling to find other option to fill the financial gap. Did I mention I was scared and scrambling to figure out what was next? Well, if I did, I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it, because I couldn’t fall asleep at night and when I did, I wanted to wake up with the job that I once had so I didn’t have to worry about how to generate income. That’s right, I was depressed and partially lost. I had no idea what to do next or how to fill that void financially....

What Our Clients say

Susie and Rishone are some of the best and most talented people you could ever meet. They also attract awesome people to their classes. I always leave on such a high and in such a good headspace. Treat yourself to such good vibes and dancing with these class act people!

Vilona Trachtenberg

Rishone and Susie are both incredibly talented, but what sets them apart from most artists is their ability to teach! These two are connected to the music, which makes for an amazing experience. I highly recommend taking any one of their classes- it'll be good for your soul, trust me.

Lisa Bavisotto

Susie & Rishone consistently strive to be better teachers and show a sincere interest in their clients progress. They are always willing to lend their support and guidance to those who need it, and are consistent in their positive attitudes. Their classes are organized in a thoughtful way, and alway incorporate new ideas and approaches. They continuously strive to improve themselves AND their clients through living by example. They talk the talk and walk the walk. Highly recommend!

Jess Moore

Being new to the area, I didn’t know anyone but decided to attend dance class with Musicality Central. Everyone was so welcoming and it felt like “dance home” instantly. Not only are Susie and Rishone talented dancers but they’re life motivators, challenging their students every class. Thank you both for creating an open, comfortable and family-like environment.
